WHAT CAN WASH AWAY MY SIN ?

WHAT CAN WASH AWAY MY SIN?

They came to  the front door covered in their filthy sin .........dirt and mud in this case.  : ~)

It started out innocent enough. It was fun. We enjoyed it for awhile. Then it started growing. It became a habit. And before we knew it , the sin had taken over. Covered us in it's dirty filth, shame and guilt and we didn't know how we would ever be clean again.

When we cry out to our Heavenly Father he will come and wash us clean and give us a fresh new start.  An "Extreme Makeover" !

"THE FATHER CLEANING UP HIS CHILDREN"

GOD FORGIVES US AND WASHES AWAY OUR SINS FOREVER!

" HE SAVED US, NOT BECAUSE OF RIGHTEOUS THINGS WE HAD DONE, BUT BECAUSE OF HIS MERCY. HE WASHED AWAY OUR SINS, GIVING US NEW BIRTH AND NEW LIFE THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT."

Titus 3:5

"WHITE  AS  SNOW"

" COME NOW, LET US REASON TOGETHER," SAYS THE LORD, " THOUGH YOUR SINS ARE LIKE SCARLET, THEY SHALL BE AS WHITE AS SNOW; THOUGH THEY ARE RED LIKE CRIMSON, I WILL MAKE THEM  AS WHITE AS WOOL."

ISAIAH 1:18

God loves us so much he doesn't see us as the messy lumpy clay vessel  sinners that we are , but he sees us as the cleaned up beautiful finished vessel that we can be.
The only way that can happen is to ask our Father to wash us clean and give us a new life with him.

" GIVE THANKS"

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

"In everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5:18

Today as I reflect upon memories of Thanksgiving celebrations throughout my life, I am reminded of all I have to be grateful for.
The many blessings God has poured into my life are as numerous as the stars in the sky.

When I was a little girl in school we would trace the outline of our hand onto a piece of brown construction paper . In order to turn our hand print into a Thanksgiving Turkey  we would cut different colors of paper into shapes of feathers and paste them onto the tips of our finger tracings. The part that was our thumb became the head and neck of the turkey which was easily identified by a red ribbon gobbler along with a black stove top hat .
Once our Turkey was complete we would write something we were thankful for on each colorful  feather with a crayon and then carefully pasted our masterpiece onto a white paper plate.
My work of art became the centerpiece of our avocado green refrigerator where it boasted the things I was thankful for.  :)

My hand print is much bigger now and all that I have to be thankful for far exceeds all the feathers on a Turkey!

However, I have decided to make a new top ten list of  Blessings that I am grateful for and I am going to make it the centerpiece of my stainless steel refrigerator! :)

1) My Heavenly Father and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

2) My wonderful Husband and our Family.

3) Our Farm home and our animals.

4) Our good health.

5) Our Church and Christian brothers and sisters.

6) We live in the U.S.A! Thanks to and God Bless our Military and Veterans!

7) Vanilla Caramel Latte and Chocolate Kisses. XOXO!

8) Sitting by a warm fire with my sweetheart.

9) Hallmark Movies.

10) Sunrises and Sunsets.

I have a lot to "GIVE THANKS" for!
How about you?

Is your heart thankful today?

Will you make a list of ten things that you can thank God for?

" Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him, bless his name!"
Psalm 100:4

HAPPY THANKSGIVING BLESSINGS!

AUTUMN TRANSFORMATION

By: Donna Selma Lind

Autumn is my favorite time of year.  I love the cooler weather , the slower pace compared to summer and of course the beautiful colors of the trees.

In order for the trees to become the brilliant colors of Autumn they have to experience a change.
The transformation takes place when the sunlight and cool nights cause the leaves to turn stored glucose into the vibrant fall foliage colors that we enjoy each year.

What once had been a forest of green has now become Mother Natures  kaleidoscope of  jewels.  A complete transformation and a reflection of God's Glory.

" Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."
 Romans 12:2

This scripture refers to our nature and character being completely changed when our minds come into agreement with the truth of God's word.
In the Greek , the word transform is the same word used in  to describe Christ's transfiguration in Matthew 17:2.
"There he was transfigured before them.  His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light."
Matthew 17:2
The physical appearance of Jesus was changed to reflect the glory of God.
As our hearts and minds come into agreement with our Heavenly Father, we too are transformed to reflect God's glory.
When we conform to the world we reflect the world and the carnal nature of sin. We stay stuck and don't grow. When we don't grow we can't change. When we don't change we won't grow. It is a cycle that ends in disappointment and death.  When we allow the Lord to transform us , we change, we grow and we become a beautiful reflection of God's love and glory to shine for the world around us.
As you enjoy the colorful splendor of the Autumn trees, ask yourself these questions:
Have I conformed or am I transformed?
Do I reflect the world around me or do I reflect the glory of God?
