For many, the celebration of Christmas has come and gone.
For those of us who know Jesus as our personal savior the celebration continues daily into eternity.
John 8: 12
When Jesus spoke to the people, he said "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

" GIVE THANKS"
HAPPY THANKSGIVING
"In everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5:18
Today as I reflect upon memories of Thanksgiving celebrations throughout my life, I am reminded of all I have to be grateful for.
The many blessings God has poured into my life are as numerous as the stars in the sky.
When I was a little girl in school we would trace the outline of our hand onto a piece of brown construction paper . In order to turn our hand print into a Thanksgiving Turkey we would cut different colors of paper into shapes of feathers and paste them onto the tips of our finger tracings. The part that was our thumb became the head and neck of the turkey which was easily identified by a red ribbon gobbler along with a black stove top hat .
Once our Turkey was complete we would write something we were thankful for on each colorful feather with a crayon and then carefully pasted our masterpiece onto a white paper plate.
My work of art became the centerpiece of our avocado green refrigerator where it boasted the things I was thankful for. :)
My hand print is much bigger now and all that I have to be thankful for far exceeds all the feathers on a Turkey!
However, I have decided to make a new top ten list of Blessings that I am grateful for and I am going to make it the centerpiece of my stainless steel refrigerator! :)
1) My Heavenly Father and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
2) My wonderful Husband and our Family.
3) Our Farm home and our animals.
4) Our good health.
5) Our Church and Christian brothers and sisters.
6) We live in the U.S.A! Thanks to and God Bless our Military and Veterans!
7) Vanilla Caramel Latte and Chocolate Kisses. XOXO!
8) Sitting by a warm fire with my sweetheart.
9) Hallmark Movies.
10) Sunrises and Sunsets.
I have a lot to "GIVE THANKS" for!
How about you?
Is your heart thankful today?
Will you make a list of ten things that you can thank God for?
" Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him, bless his name!"
Psalm 100:4
HAPPY THANKSGIVING BLESSINGS!

AUTUMN TRANSFORMATION
By: Donna Selma Lind
Autumn is my favorite time of year. I love the cooler weather , the slower pace compared to summer and of course the beautiful colors of the trees.
In order for the trees to become the brilliant colors of Autumn they have to experience a change.
The transformation takes place when the sunlight and cool nights cause the leaves to turn stored glucose into the vibrant fall foliage colors that we enjoy each year.

" VICTORY IN JESUS ! "
By: Donna Selma Lind
One night recently our dog Judah was outside barking.
Straining my eyes by the moonlight all I could see was Judah circling around an animal and barking. He was trying to warn us that an enemy had trespassed into our home territory. Judah was trying to protect his home and family when the enemy attacked.
Turns out the enemy was an Armadillo!

"Judah Mighty Warrior" |
"Judah's Nemesis" |
Before the fight was over Judah had a bite and deep scratches on his neck.
The Armadillo never made it out of the gate.
The Vet put Judah on Antibiotics and said he would be fine after a few days of rest.
Three days later Judah was out playing when Stanley saw him looking at the ground and growling. Then Judah jumped back yelping and ran away. He was desperately rubbing his face back and forth in the grass. Upon close inspection Daddy found a snake coiled up showing his fangs and hissing. It was later identified as a Copperhead an extremely poisonous snake!
~Judah's Kryptonite ~
Dead Copperhead Snake in a Jar"
Judah was bitten above his eye, his cheek and neck . Thankfully because he was already on Antibiotics he had enough medicine in his system to protect him from the Copperheads venom. His eye was swollen shut and his face puffed up like a Blowfish.
Attacked by the enemy twice within a few days ! Judah was weary from the Battle but he remained victorious and retained his title as "Mighty Warrior."
"Mama's Mighty Warrior"
"Mama's Mighty Warrior"
We have all experienced attacks from the Enemy.
Sometimes we barely recover from one attack when we are hit by another.
As Christians we need to fill ourselves up with the word of God and soak in his presence daily, so that when the enemy attacks we will be able to resist his poisonous venom and we too shall be Victorious in Christ Jesus!
Some attacks take longer to recover from and require a stronger dosage of the
"Gos-pill" aka the Gospel!
Jesus said we will suffer great trials and afflictions in this life.
As Christ followers we are taught in
Ephesians 6:13
"To put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground. Then after the Battle you will be standing firm."
Peter reminds us in 1 Peter 5:8
"Stay alert ! Watch out for the great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour."
It states in Romans 8: 31
"What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?"
And then the blessed assurance in verses 35-39
" Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."
Did you get that? WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS IN CHRIST JESUS!
2 Corinthians 4:10 promises
No matter how bad the enemy attack is we are never abandoned by God! We get knocked down but we are not destroyed!
1 Corinthians 15
"But thanks be to God! He gives us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ."
Hang in there, you are not alone. Every Battle is for a reason. Every Battle is for a season. Whenever you are under attack remember the enemy has been defeated and we have the Victory in Jesus!
Just smile and tell that snake:
" I read the end of the book and we win!"
Just smile and tell that snake:
" I read the end of the book and we win!"

"WEEDS"
By: Donna Selma Lind
Weeds . Unwanted, undesirable, aggressive and damaging. Left unattended, weeds can spread like a wildfire . Weeds can turn a beautiful garden like this....
Into an ugly mess like this in no time at all.
Weeds are a lot like bad habits and sin in our lives. At first glance it looks attractive and inviting. Like a Wildflower , it usually starts out to be beautiful and enjoyable before it gets out of control and turns into a bad habit and sin.
And then before we know it WHAM! It has taken over our life and now we have become a slave to the "Weeds." Little by little we allowed them to creep in until they have taken over .
We all have different weeds that have infected our lives. Some are simple surface weeds that are easy to see such as being messy, bossy or late all the time. These weeds are easy enough to pull out and stop from growing any further by making a conscience effort to change and try to become better.
Some weeds have deeper roots and require digging beneath the surface to find where the root took hold in the first place. The deeper the root the more power it has to spread and grow over into other places in our lives. These are the weeds that affect our attitudes and relationships. The seeds from these weeds take advantage of the bad soil and reproduce more and more ugly weeds in our lives.
The Good News is .....
Jesus is the "Master Gardener". He has the power to remove every weed from our life! All we have to do is ask Him to help us. Softly and tenderly He will cut away the weeds and get rid of all the ugly things that have taken over our lives until we are beautiful once again .
What are the Weeds in your life?
What habits and hindrances need to be removed?
Will you invite the "Master Gardener" Jesus into your garden today and allow him to tend to your weeds?

" I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful... I am the vine; you are the branches...This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit....As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you... Remain in love, so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete."

" AN UNEXPECTED BLESSING"
By: Donna Selma Lind
It started out to be just an ordinary Saturday morning. We had breakfast , watched the sun come up and listened to the weatherman give the forecast for another hot and humid week.
The morning sky grew dark as a flock of Buzzard's circled overhead and landed on some fence posts. They took turns spreading their massive wings out and soaking up the warm sun rays.

" WHEN WE ARE WEAK HE IS STRONG "
By: Donna Selma Lind
We awoke to a beautiful sunrise . A big orange sherbet ball poking it's head through the tree tops. A billowy blanket of steam and fog was hovering over the pond .
The fog lifted to meet the morning sky and there standing behind the mist was Lucy our cow with her newborn calf.

Lucy and Luigi |
Meet "LUIGI" (Our Italian Beef :)
Lucy had a hard time delivering Luigi because he was so BIG! Lucy needed a bit of help so we bottle fed Luigi until Lucy was feeling better and Luigi was strong enough to get milk from his Mama. Luigi was a wee bit shy the first couple of days.
Luigi playing Hide and Seek
What a joy to look out the window now and watch Luigi run around the pasture playing and kicking up his heels. Thank you Jesus!
Have you ever felt weak and tired before? Maybe you don't feel like you have the strength you need to make it through another day. Do you need a little help ? You are not alone.
Cry out to Jesus! Jesus is the answer!
He will give you strength . He will give you courage. He will carry you when you are too weak to walk. God is a God of Restoration and Healing. Hallelujah !
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear,
for I am with you;
do not be dismayed for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

" SISTERS ARE A GIFT FROM GOD"
By: Donna Selma Lind
There is a bond between sisters that is unlike any other .
It is one of unconditional love , support and encouragement. Sisters carry each other through good times and bad.
They cry , laugh, fight, stick up for one another, share secrets, and all that goes into the family dynamics.
Sisters play house, have tea parties with their dolls and dress up with Grandmas old hats, jewelry and clothes.
They fix each others hair and stay up all night talking about boys along with their hopes and dreams for the future. They are the ones who stand beside you through your marriage or divorce the birth of your children and sickness and death of loved ones. Sisters cheer you on and cheer you up. They walk beside you and help you when you don't think you can take another step.
Neither time nor miles can separate the bond and love between sisters.
Sisters are a gift from God!
Today I celebrate my gift from God, my precious sister Theresa Louise. The Lord has knit our hearts together.
I have watched you grow into a beautiful woman, wife and mother. I am so proud of you!
Despite the many years and many miles between us we are the best of friends like two peas in a pod and two nuts in a chocolate!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS TO MY LITTLE SISTER LULU BELLE!
I Love you,

"THE SHEPHERD'S VOICE"
By: Donna Selma Lind
I was out on the front porch shaking the dust out of an area rug when I turned my head and saw "Angel" our Llama staring at me with her big brown eyes. She lifted her head and made a soft humming noise, which usually means she is nervous and trying to tell me something.
"Angel, how did you get out of the fenced pasture?" I questioned her.
She hummed back , looked nervously around and munched on a big tuft of grass.
My husband had just left for a farm auction in town so I quickly called him asking if he could turn around and come home and get Angel back in her pasture with the sheep.
I looked around the corner and there was Angel rolling around under the big Cedar tree enjoying a nice dirt bath! That's when I saw that all of the Sheep had gotten loose and they were huddled together in the orchard nibbling on a fresh new carpet of greens.
Now I know what Angel was trying to tell me. Angel is such a great Guardian! Every time a Mama Ewe was having her baby lamb, Angel would come by the back fence and look for me at the kitchen window to let me know what was going on.
She would do the same thing when one of the sheep was sick.
I figured it would be a while until my husband got back home , so I thought I would try to coax Angel back in the barn with a bucket of her grain and then the sheep would follow.
What was I thinking? I have been laid up for months with a foot injury and I can barely hobble around on a cane and now I am going to wrangle sheep and a llama?
I managed to get the bucket of grain shook it and called Angel who is such a good girl she came right to me. I lured her a few feet at a time as her snout was stuffed in the bucket crunching her treats and lifting her head up only to get the grain to slide down her long throat.
We walked right through the open gate that I quickly locked behind us.
Whew, now if I can do the same with the sheep. I filled the bucket up again with a corn and grain mixture and shook it and called "Sheepy, Sheepy. Come on , Sheepy, Sheepy. Let's go girls."
Nothing. No one even lifted their heads up! Again I called "Sheepy, Sheepy, come on girls."
Nothing. I limped a little closer . Bucket in one hand , cane in the other.
They all ran away and headed to the other side of the property. The more I called them the more they ran further away.
After a few minutes Stanley came pulling in the driveway, dust from the gravel road chased behind him like a storm cloud in April. He grabbed the bucket from me , shook it and hollered "Sheepy, Sheepy, come on girls." Just like that, they lifted up their heads and looked where my husbands voice was coming from and they all started to run after him straight through the opened gate into the pasture where Angel was waiting anxiously for them.
So what was the difference between when I called the sheep and when my husband called them?
He is their Shepherd and they know his voice. Although I spend time with them and even bottle fed some of them when they were babies, I am not their Shepherd. I am not with them all the time and they don't know me or trust me like they do with him.
That is how our relationship is with the Lord. He is our Shepherd. How do we know the difference between his voice and the voices of others? We spend time with Him and we get to know Him. The more time we spend together the easier it will be to know when He is talking to us and trying to lead us down the safe path away from danger and away from the enemy. Jesus is our Good Shepherd and He loves us very much.
When was the last time you listened for the Shepherd? Do you hear Him calling you , bidding you to come closer to Him?
Psalm 23 says:
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me lie down in green pastures...."
Won't you rest in the arms of the shepherd today?
"He leadeth me beside still waters. He restoreth my soul."
Who do you follow?
The Good Shepherd is at the gate waiting for you to follow him into the green pastures that will lead you safely home into his arms.

" HALLELUJAH HERALD "
By: Donna Selma Lind
Welcome to "Hallelujah Herald"!
I am so happy you stopped by for a visit!
In case you are wondering why the name "Hallelujah Herald"? It is because Hallelujah means "Praise the Lord" and "Herald" is defined as "an official Messenger who proclaims important news".
To those who don't know me, my name is Donna Lind and I live to Praise the Lord and proclaim the message and good news that Jesus Christ is Lord and King! Hallelujah and Amen.
My prayer is that God will use me to bring good news that will inspire, comfort and encourage your Faith , through the stories and adventures of life that will unfold in these pages as time goes by.
I am married to my blessed friend :) my wonderful Husband Stanley! God has Blessed us both with an incredible love for each other and first and foremost for Him. I know....sounds corny and mushy but it is true. The Lord has brought us together for a time such as this and we are truly Blessed!
We live in "Glory Land"... well actually that is the name of our Farm. Forty of the most beautiful acres in the Ozarks. Our home is a Yellow Cape Cod cottage ,with dark red shutters that sits perched high on a hill overlooking lush green meadows and a big pond filled with fish , turtles and frogs.
We are Shepherd's. At the present we have a flock of thirty five sheep, twenty lambs, fourteen Mama's and one Ram named "Father Abraham". "Angel" is our guardian Llama , she watches over the sheep and protects them from predators such as coyotes.
"Lucy" is our Cow. She is the first cow we bought years ago and she is still here with us. Lucy is ready to have a calf any day now....she is as big as a cow!!! hehehe :) Judah and Joy are our dogs....they are a story for another day. Let's just say they keep us entertained all the time....like the dancing dogs in a circus act!
We are finally settling down after rehabbing/flipping eight houses in ten years! Whew, can you believe that we lived in every house while we did all the rehabbing and work ourselves?? "With man it is impossible . But with God all things are possible!" Matthew 19:26
In addition to working on remodeling and decorating houses, I love to read ,write, cook and garden along with hunting for treasures in flea markets and thrift stores . My Honey and I love to sit on the porch and watch the sheep graze in the pasture. I treasure when the Master paints the morning sky with a tangerine and fuchsia sunrise and ends the day with twinkling stars dotted against a midnight blue heavenly backdrop.
I am a Christian Counselor and Life Coach , Licensed Ordained Minister, Bible Teacher and Author.
It has been a long road for me to get to where I am. Without God I don't know where I would be. Every day is a gift . I make mistakes. I am a sinner. I am not who I want to be and only by the Grace of God I am not who I used to be. He teaches me everyday to be more like Him and help others that He puts in my path.
Most importantly, I love and live to Praise the Lord and bring the message of healing , hope and the Good News that Jesus loves you and He is coming back very soon!
Until then , I hope you will invite a few friends to come along and join me for the journey here at:
"Hallelujah Herald".
Praise the Lord and Share the Good News,
Donna Selma Lind
Jesus said to them " Go into all the world and proclaim the Good News to everyone." Mark 16:15
